HOW MUCH DOES A WEBSITE COST?
The cost of a website will vary depending on a variety of factors. My website projects generally start in the $1200 range for basic business sites, and range upward from there depending on your unique needs and the scope of the project.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO DESIGN & BUILD MY WEBSITE?
How long your website will take depends on the size and complexity of your site. I generally quote a timeframe of 3-4 weeks from beginning to end for a basic website. Implementing things like an ecommerce store or a lot of content can add to that timeframe, and will be quoted when I quote the project.
WHAT IS A DOMAIN NAME?
A domain name is your address on the internet. For example, this domain is www.rebeccazwar.com.
WHAT IS WEB HOSTING?
Web hosting is a service that stores your website files on a server, and allows it to be found on the Internet. I can recommend quality website hosting to help insure your site is safe and blazing fast.
DO I NEED MY OWN DOMAIN NAME & WEB HOSTING?
Yes, these are the basic building blocks needed to get started on your website project. I can help you get this set up and we can nearly always work with your existing provider. I can make recommendations for both domain registrars and web hosts based on your project needs.
WILL MY WEBSITE WORK ON MOBILE DEVICES?
Yes. All the websites I design are mobile friendly to work on all devices. This has recently become a significant ranking factor for Google, and so mobile-friendliness is an important step in the design process.
WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT TERMS?
If you approve my quote and choose to work with me to create your WordPress website, my payment terms are 50% deposit at the start of the project, with the balance due 4 weeks later (or at completion of the website, if sooner). All invoices are payable within 7 days.
I DON’T KNOW WORDPRESS – DO YOU PROVIDE TRAINING?
Yes, I provide all my clients with training on using and updating their WordPress website.
WILL YOU WORK WITH ME IF I ALREADY HAVE A WEBSITE?
I’d love to! I enjoy working with both new and existing WordPress websites. There is a unique challenge with the makeover of an existing website – taking what you currently have and turning it into a highly functional site that is easy for your customers to use.
WILL YOU WRITE THE CONTENT FOR MY SITE?
No, I don’t. You will need to provide copy & content for your website. But if you need help, I’ll be glad to connect you with a copywriter who specializes in effective web copy.
